WhatsApp Chat Lock lets users protect selected individual and group conversations without restricting access to the entire app. Locked chats move to a separate folder that requires device authentication to open. Users can also hide this folder from the main chat list by setting up a secret code. The feature conceals message details and sender information in notifications, although WhatsApp calls from locked contacts can still come through. This guide explains how to lock, hide, find and access private conversations.
